Fair Share Program

“One man gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.
A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.”
Proverbs 11:24-25 NIV.

St. Mary’s Fair Share program has been implemented to effectively and equitably share the volunteer work load so that everyone contributes to the success of our school and benefits from the fund raising revenue that has effectively kept our tuition affordable. Each family is required to volunteer 30 hours during the year.  This can be done by any CORI checked family member, not just the parents. We feel this program allows families the following opportunities.

1. Partner in their child’s education
2. Provide a model of community service for our children
3. Build a stronger sense of community among families
4. Provide opportunities for new initiatives and ideas
5. Greater visibility of school

There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available each year, from after school hours, during school, or even on some weekends.  We try to offer as many options as possible to allow everyone to participate.  Although, these hours may seem overwhelming at first, most families enjoy their time in the school, on field trips or just helping out in general. These hours add up quickly!  At St. Mary’s, we truly are one community working towards a common goal – to provide the best academic and social experience for our students.
